Haiti: how to pray, give, and go

Over 3 million people’s lives changed when a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the country of Haiti outside of its capitol on January 10, 2010.  Hundreds of countries and thousands of organizations across the globe are responding to the immediate needs in Haiti.  There is a desperate cry for help and an urgent need for heaven to invade earth.

But the biggest question people have been asking themselves is:
How can I help?

Adventures In Missions (AIM) is creating several opportunities for you to get involved.  Here are the latest ones:

This is one of the easiest and most effective things that you can do.  Pray for the nation of Haiti, pray for the safety of the teams there, and pray for God’s favor in their ministry efforts.

A lot of you would probably love to jump on a plane and head to Haiti but aren’t able to do so.  That’s okay.  We’ve thought of you too.  AIM is in need of donations to provide supplies for our mission teams on the ground in Haiti.  These donations will also be used to assist in long term rebuilding efforts.  Learn how to give here…

Don’t have any money to give?  Then you could give us your face and help us get the word out by donating your profile pictures on Facebook and Twitter.  Just save the pictures below and then upload them to your accounts.  Pass the word around and share it with your friends also.  It’s an easy and inexpensive way to help us raise funds.  And how long do you have to keep your picture that way?  It’s up to you.

What if you are able to drop everything and go to Haiti?  How do you get there and what do you do?  We’re working on that, actually.  AIM is currently working on organizing short term mission trips to Haiti to help with relief efforts.  Subscribe to this blog to for the most recent news.

Thanks for believing with us that God can transform Haiti!
